Why THOUZER?

Increasing labor shortages, an aging workforce, and the growing need for operational improvement are driving mobile robot adoption. However, many AGVs/AMRs are not designed to address the nuances of real-world operations.

Unlike conventional mobile robots designed for specific applications, THOUZER is designed for users who seek to continuously improve their unique environments and processes through flexible, purpose-built navigation functions.

Functionality

Function 01

Follow-Me

  • No tracking device required.
  • One-button activation. No setup required.
  • Follow set target and avoid incoming obstacles.

THOUZER’s Follow-Me navigation uses LiDAR tracking with a wide field of view and fast response, working reliably day or night. Operators can walk and work naturally without worrying about the robot’s line of sight. THOUZER can follow a designated target (a person, forklift, truck, or other object), making it easy to adapt to changing workflows and boost worker productivity.

Memory Trace®

  • Easy to set up on-site.
  • No complicated interface and mapping required.
  • Reliable route playback with no add-on infrastructure.

Unlike SLAM-based navigation, which can accumulate positional drift over time, THOUZER’s Memory Trace uses Frame Map Matching without relying on global mapping. This prevents drift over long distances without the need for a complicated map-building process. Simply guide THOUZER along the desired route once, and new route can be set up within minutes, anytime, at no additional cost.

Line Trace

  • Easy to source and maintain floor tape.
  • Expand the route with Highway marker*.
  • Floor tape for both indoor and outdoor available.

THOUZER’s Line Trace follows guidance tape, while barcode markers can trigger destinations or instructions such as turning, going straight, speeding up, or slowing down. No fleet management software is required. Outdoor-grade tape is available, costs far less than magnetic AGV guidance, and is simple for users to repair or extend themselves.

Moving from BASIC to E-SERIES

When your operation needs more, a paid upgrade is available. It opens the I/O, parameter access, and integration points on the robot you already own, so you can keep building on the work you have already done.

THOUZER FAQ

Does THOUZER need a tracking device or beacon to follow?

No. THOUZER Follow-Me uses on-board LiDAR sensor tracking, so the person or object being followed does not need to carry a tag or beacon. Press one button and THOUZER starts following. No setup required.

What can THOUZER follow?

A designated target: a person, forklift, truck, or other object, as long as it stays within the sensor's detection range. THOUZER follows the set target and avoids incoming obstacles, day or night.

Do I need to build a map?

No. Memory Trace® uses Frame Map Matching without relying on global mapping, so it does not drift over long distances. Guide THOUZER along the route once. A new route can be set up within minutes, anytime, at no additional cost.

How is Line Trace different from magnetic AGV guidance?

Line Trace follows floor tape that costs far less than magnetic AGV guidance, and you can repair or extend it yourself. Barcode markers set destinations or instructions such as turning, going straight, speeding up, or slowing down. No fleet management software is required.

Can THOUZER work outdoors?

Yes. THOUZER runs on uneven floors, asphalt, gravel, brick, and wet or oily floors. It handles a 6° slope and a 3 cm step, day and night, and in light rain. It carries your load from indoors to outdoors in one trip.

How much can THOUZER carry and tow?

Platform payload is 60 kg to 300 kg, and towing is 150 kg to 2,000 kg, depending on the model. THOUZER can carry and tow at the same time. See the specifications table for each model.

What's the difference between BASIC and E-SERIES?

Both share the same hardware. The difference is what's unlocked in software. BASIC is ready to work out of the box. E-SERIES adds advanced Memory Trace, Line Trace, application-specific functions, and system integration.
